Decided to give this product a try as I am pregnant and it is marketed as being a treatment for stretch marks, which I was really hoping to try and prevent. The cream is quite thick and moisturising, but I was really put off by the smell. I know that pregnant women sometimes react more strongly to smells than non-pregnant women, but as this product is marketed to pregnant women I would have thought that that would have been taken into account. When you begin to the rub the cream in, it smells quite bizarrely a bit alcoholic, like a cream liquer or something, and not in a pleasant way. In fact, after a few uses I really couldn't bear the smell any more and had to give up using it. Fortunately, I've since done my research and found that a study published by the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (the doctors in the know), concluded that using a cocoa butter moisturiser was no better than using any other kind of moisturiser in the battle against stretch marks, and so I have now gone back to using the normal body butters and moisturisers that I used to use before I was pregnant. Give this a go if you want to, but you may well be better off using a cream that you're already used to and like, especially if there's really no benefit of using this over something else.
i used this for over 3 months for stretch marks that i have had for sometime, but this product didn't do anything for those marks :(

I mostly used this product with Bio Oil during my pregnancy. I really loved its luxurious feeling and smell. After my pregnancy, I have couple of "not bad" stretch marks. Stretch Marks mostly about your gens. If your mother has them, probably you are going to have them. At the end, I definitely recommend the emergency repair kit ( includes tummy toner and shrink to fit cream). My body was just like before pregnancy. About this oil, I recommend it for pampering purposes during the pregnancy. However, if money is an issue, Bio oil is one of the best product I have ever used during my pregnancy( believe me, I tried almost everything).
Having gone to 42 weeks and with experience of bad stretch marks in puberty I can honestly say I'm very suprised myself stretch mark free, not a single one. I used mamma mio from about 4 months pregnant, twice a day from 6 months. It smells great, rubs in well and is non-greasy. I've got a fairly sensitive skin and it hasn't caused any problems and it really helps with pregnancy itch. Of course I might have been lucky anyway and not got them even without the cream. But I'm glad I did and it was worth the money for that bit of pampering. From a cost perspective, I found the butter goes a lot further if I used the oil first - the oil bottle lasts for ages as you only need a small amount and overall even though buying both products, it worked out a lot more economical for me. Overall, I was delighted with it.
This is a gorgeous cream, i used this at night and bio oil in the mornings and after having my little girl i dont have a stretch mark in sight - the consistency is rich and thick and not at all greasy - only a small pot for your money but a little goes a long way - certainly lasted me for over 4 months.
I used this cream in conjunction with the oil religiously throughout my whole pregnancy (a very expensive habit over the course of a whole 9 months!) but despite this and the fact that I have never had any stretch marks before from teenage growth spurts or anything my tummy is now covered in them. Very disappointed, wish I'd saved my money.
This product definitely seems to prevent stretch marks by hydrating the skin, however it is so cold to apply!! Definitely more suited to the summer than the winter months in my opinion. For this reason I prefer Palmers Tummy Butter because it is always warm to the touch and is therefore very comfortable to apply. I find that with the Palmers Tummy Butter that your skin is still well hydrated 12 hours (or more) later, whereas with the Mama Mio Tummy Rub after the 12 hours or so you definitely need to re-apply since there is no remaining trace of the product on your skin. Finally, the info regarding how long a tub of Mama Mio tummy rub lasts is misleading. In my experience a tub only lasts 3 months. Like I say, the product definitely seems to prevent stretch marks but so does Palmers Tummy Butter which is more comfortable to use and miles cheaper.

I have been using this product throughout my pregnancy - I'm now 35 weeks - and not a new stretch mark in sight (and I have old ones from growth spurts as a teenager so the tendency is definitely there!). Use it at least once a day after showering, and twice in the last 2-3 months when things are expanding ever faster! I'm going to continue to use it after the birth as the skin recovers too. I thoroughly recommend all of Mama Mio products - they work and smell great too!
I bought this as a gift for a pregnant friend and she loved it - would highly recommend.
I have been using mama mio oil and lotion since I found out I am pregnant, now 23 weeks and still no stretch marks. It is nice to apply and absorbs well.

Suki Butter Cream Healing Salve 60Ml Average Rating: ![]() |

Lavender, to soothe, calm and aid relaxation, blended with evening primose, creates a hand and body butter to moisturise dry, chafed skin all over. Especially effective on hardworking hands, feet, elbows, eczema, cuticles, bruises, burns and stretch marks. |
Reviews
I wanted to use this for some damaged and vulnerable skin on my face, and I wanted something that contained only natural ingredients. This balm is made from organic cocoa butter, evening primrose oil and lavender, and apparently doesn't contain any chemicals. It's quite hard and a bit waxy - like butter that's been in the fridge - but after I've scraped some off the top of the pot and softened it, it rubs into my skin quite easily. It has a lovely lavender smell and a little goes a long way so it's economical. It seems to have had a good healing effect, both on my face and on some dry skin on my hand. It leaves a slightly greasy residue behind for a while after application, but it goes in time and just leaves soft skin. It has definitely cleared up the patch of dry skin on my hand, and the skin on my face does already look better. Recommended.

Virgin Stretch Mark Cream Herbal 25g |

Stretch Marks.Cream Reaction.Wrinkles. Skin Discolouration. Formulated to Restore Freshness and youthful glow to the skin. |
Although it is impossible for stretch marks to be removed without surgery, there are many ways by which the appearance of them can be significantly reduced or prevented.
Stretch mark creams are produced with the aim of promoting reduced visibility of stretch marks on the skin. 75% of healthy skin is made up of collagen so when the collagen fibres are disrupted, the elasticity of our skin is affected and the likeliness of developing stretch marks is increased. There are stretch mark creams that are made to stimulate renewed production of collagen. They are quite expensive but they do the trick. Other skin enriching ingredients such as jojoba oil, Shea butter or vitamin C can help. Vitamin C plays a major part in the production of collagen and is also a powerful antioxidant. Items like Shea butter are a great way of ensuring that people’s skin remains hydrated at all times therefore increasing overall elasticity of the skin.
Because of the many products available in the market, people sometimes are confused as to which stretch mark product to buy. One way of resolving this is by making use of the best stretch mark cream reviews.
Stretch mark reviews provide information on the various popular stretch mark creams currently on the market. To this end they depart information on the efficiency of the cream, the ingredients used and the advantages and disadvantages of using the product. Stretch mark reviews also provide a good scale on how much you should expect to spend on a good cream.
There are many places where a stretch mark cream review can be found. Reviews of this nature can be spotted in women’s and health magazines that address the topic of stretch marks or dermatological concerns. However, the presence of the internet provides people with an effective source of information. Today most of the best stretch mark cream reviews can easily be sourced online. Sites such as Amazon which handle the sales of many products often provide sections for reviews of these products.
Provision is made for expert reviews as well as those written by consumers and users. By making use of any of these, you will be able to form a fair idea on which option is best suited for you.
It is important to realise that stretch mark creams do not guarantee the same final results for every user. It might prove more effective for some than it will for others. It is therefore possible for people to use a particular product and successfully avoid developing stretch marks whilst others will use the same product and see no visible changes. In the end the development of stretch marks will depend a lot on the condition of your skin and how well your skin responds to the product.
Outside the use of stretch mark creams it is possible to prevent or reduce the occurrence of stretch marks by keeping your skin well moisturized at all times. Stay out of the sun unprotected as exposure to sunlight can cause the skin to lose elasticity. Drink as much water as possible every day. This will ensure that your skin is hydrated from within. Maintaining a balanced diet is a prerequisite. Meals that are rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids will also improve your skins appearance and resistance to wear and tear.
